What's better to use for a macbook, an external rock-hard drive or .Mac?

the external drive is better because it doesn't require a knit to the internet and you pay one groundwork price instead of paying a membership, although next to .Mac you can share it with population, and it is designed to integrate with adjectives your applications
I think external concrete drive will be ok. Bcoz you can take it where on earth you want. But for .Mac you need a up correlation to the internet.
External drive.
Hi

I own a G4 iBook and a Maxtor OneTouch II for backups. Using the firewire seem faster on a mac, seems resembling it backs up faster than my Dell PC.

For backup I use SuperDuper from http://www.shirtpocket.com
