Will a Nividia Geforce 7600 Video Card Fit into a Dell Dimension 4700?

It will fit into your set but be forewarned about the Dells and upgrades. Make sure that your power supply is powerful satisfactory to run the card. It might not be because Dell is notorious for doing that. If it is not, it will be particularly costly to do the upgrade because Dell uses proprietary power supplies and motherboards. If you attempt to replace the power supply in your box beside a new one from approaching CompUSA, your set will catch fire and you will stipulation the fire department at your house.



There are two ways to fix this...



1) Get a new MB & Power Supply

2) Call Dell and ask for a bigger Power Supply



Just remember that Dell's power supplies will be more expensive compare to the general power supplies.

It's very expected that the card will fit your PC case and the PCIe graphics slot. However, your DD4700 is a significance PC. Everything there is merely matched right. Adding a 36watt card (7600GT, a bit less for the GS) would stress or overload the power supply or one of its voltage rail. You may have to upgrade also the power supply.
