Man, the 8800 Ultra isn't even released nonetheless! However, the word on the street is that it is just a slightly greater clocked 8800GTX. That mean's it is just scarcely faster, but the price tag is going to be $999. It is a complete idle away of money.



Not only will two 1950XTX smoke the 8800 Ultra, it'll cost $100 smaller quantity.



However, if you're looking for the best bang for the buck contained by dual-GPU's, I would got for two 8800GTS 320MB within SLI. That way you spend lone about $550, you own DX10 support, and it will eat up and poop out ANY winter sport at 1920x1200 widescreen + max quality (the singular way to play!!).



Just build sure you go for a 750Watt or complex PSU with 50+ Amps on the +12V rail.

BTW if you buy an Ultra instead of an overclocked GTX, you are a moron.
The Nvidia one. Although two of the ATI cards will double its performance, they still won't know how to match that of the Nvidia.
That's features of an apples to oranges comparison... The 8800 is by far the better single card, but two of the X1950XTX in crossfire mode would flog it.



But then again, so would a set of two 8800GTX linked via SLI. It adjectives depends upon whether you want a one or two-card solution (and if your power supply can handle it) Of course you just get DirectX 10 support next to the 8800 series.
