Why are these games jerk a short time bit on such a vigorous computer?

i hold a Intel pentium 4 2.8 Ghz

1 GB of RAM

Motherboard: Abit IT7 MAXv2.0

Graphics card: Nvidia 7600 gt

500 watt power supply

could it be because i have a 8x graphics card contained by a 4x card slot? If that is the problem how much does it slow the computer down?

the team game that jerks the most is Need for speed Carbon and 18 wheel of steel haulin.

Why are these games jerk a short time bit on such a vigorous computer?

It's like you enjoy a V8 engine w/ only 4 cylinders firing. Yes, you've get a decent card nearby that is human being severely bottlenecked by that 4xAGP slot. If you want to enjoy gaming better upgrade to a motherboard next to 8XAGP. You will be amazed by the improvement.
Try it near your anti virus off.
you cant put a 8X card contained by a 4X slot, it will not fit

so that is not the problem, becouse if it would, your PC wouldnt be running presently

maybe you should consider upgrading your strike, or getting a better graphics card(GPU)

if you dont want too spend money

you should try too reformat your PC

hope this helps

Yes, an 8x will fit into a 4x slot. It's exactly like.

Using a 4x slot on latest games similar to need for speed is not going to consent to them be very smooth, they will shake a little because it is not a really fast computer contained by respect to PC gaming - the motherboard isn't up to it.

To correct this turn down some graphics options contained by game - contained by particular the resolution. Also, engineer sure you have the hottest drivers from NVidia - check their website. Finally, the CPU will heavily limit the graphics card, as it is lawfully slow in the realm of modern gaming - less than partially the speed of the core 2 duos
