6 months ago I bought a latest combo drive as my old cd-rw be damaged because a cd have broken in it. I bought a trial samsung combo drive but is only competent to read the cd's that are not scratched. But my older cd-rw be able to read background from scratched cds. What to do?
When I try to put a scratched cd contained by my combo drive, it is not competent to read it.?
because you probably scratched you Cd in the naissance. CD-ROM usually starts reading from the center. what can you do it but a computer CD -cleaner tools and clean it buff it. if those scratch aren't too deep it will polish it if its vast then disc is no good
Most of your Cd/ Dvd drives won't know how to read scratched Cd's you can try one of those cd repair tools from the store or you can try a trick my son uses... He rubs gel type non porus toothpaste on the face of his scratched Cd's he next washes stale the toothpaste with hot wet then he take a green marker and uses it on the outer top of his cd's. I don't know how or why but it works in his motor stereo, Xbox
(original & 360) dvd player and even his Pc. He does this with any cd that get scratched and they work.
Hope it helps.
As per the other answerers, scratched CDs are individual natural to require professional buffing once surrounded by a while. I concur with that explanation.
My other lucid theory is that the foreign CD burner is both playing and demo at a higher speed. Three years ago you bought for example, a 32x speed max write which is immediately efficiently 52x.
When you burned the compact disc, it was at 32x. Picking it up to read at max speed may be negligable, but when you through a mark into it, well it's gonna necessitate to compensate the sync (or in your covering - not).
Hope this helps...
