nVidia should have a driver update for vista. Just budge to either eVga's site or nVidia's site and look for your card, later click downloads and download the latest driver.
There are solely one type of driver for a certain type of video card. There is not a best driver. The driver is one and only the middleman to transfer instructions vertebrae and fourth between card and computer. Now with Vista you may enjoy problems as not ALL programs are Vista ready. Some things that work next to windows will not work beside Vista, but that will be slowly changing.



I be going to get a trial computer but I will wait 6 months till the major bugs are worked out of Vista.

Start by providing details! What program isnt it working contained by? Did you try it with the software that come with it? Did you follow the procedures within the installation manual?

If you boot into a live linux cd (such as knoppix) and use the "mount" command you can access the files surrounded by raw binary mode no issue what the formatting is (if I remember correctly.)
Ther might be a prob wit damaged head on the disk or another mechanical one. First rotten, do not format it as you would loose all of your notes. Describe it, what kinda device is that(jsut a disk in a rack or a laptop disk or a portable my center storage....).

The 7600GS have an AGP version. Its power consumption could be a few watts high than the 27watts of the PCIe version. Your PC should own at least a 300W power supply. If you stipulation to upgrade power supply, better get a superior rated one so that it runs cooler and you own room for future upgrades.
From what I see, the graphics card is a PCI express card. The just thing I can see at dealtime going on for the computer is that it's AGP video output. That could just be the evasion but you should check more on the computer to be sure it has a PCI express slot.

If it does, the card should work.

If it doesn't, find an AGP card.
Just rather advise, The 7600 GT next to 256 mb DDR3 will crush the the 7600 GS with 512 mb DDR2. And not to much difference within price.

The microphone shouldn't be a problem but the mixer needs to be capable of draw UK power instead of US power. For this you will need at lowest an adapter for the plug and you may need a power converter, depending on your mixer's requirements. It's not easy to say in need knowing what mixer you're talking more or less.

I believe they enjoy 220-240 volts AC in the UK only just like most other places, so if you enjoy the same where on earth you come from, you don't have to verbs about a power converter.

You may involve Vista drivers. Go the the MP3 player manufacturer's web site and look for them.
Go to the start menu, and on the right side it should read out computer somewhere. From there a catalogue of drives should pop up. Your mp3 player should be listed beside the drives. If it is not, then it is probably because Vista does not enjoy a driver for your mp3 player yet, and you will hold to wait several months for it to come out.



Personally I recomend that you simply travel back to XP. Vista simply can not handle the daytime to day operation of a normal computer user.

I'm running window xp and trying to make a copy of the intricate drive with Norton Ghost. The destination drive unformated and is contained by an external usb case but window doesn't see it the drive. How can I get window to see the external drive?

Hardy, that is not correct. Ghost can copy to USB devices, however you own to specify to add the USB drivers contained by order to do it.



From the nouns of it - this isn't a Ghost issue, more so than a WIndows issue. The poster says that window can't see the drive. And if Windows can't see the drive then Ghost for sure won't know how to see the drive.



You may need to check within your control panel (admin tools, computer management) to see if the drive is even showing up.



If it is showing up but not getting a drive letter - in attendance is a little issue beside Windows assigning drive letters that you should be aware of. Example...if you already hold devices installed that take up drive correspondence past F...next Windows may not be able to assign a drive message (not that it doesn't see the drive).

Man most of the time Logitech and other hadware accesories do that. The best way to fix the problem is by trying to connect another the ivories and mouse to the computer and setting the old one as a fauty.

Because of DRM issues beside DVD's you have to enjoy the proper codec to play a DVD. Vista is even more resrtictive about this than XP be. WMP won't play DVD's out of the box unfortunately any. Fortunately you don't have to compensate to play though. Get the VLC media player from http://www.videolan.org after installing and running the application chose File -> Open disk, contained by the box that comes up just click the OK button.

I have a similar problem once and i actually found out that the drive itself be faulty...i removed it from the PC took it subsidise to the store and got it exchanged since i just had it for 2 days...i strongly suspect that it conceivably the same problem that u're have...just a write down...the Lite-On drives are prone to this....at least within my experience thatz what I've found....Hope this helps ;)

I would own to say that the 7950Gt would carry out better on Halo 2. From what I can see, the 7950gt will probably average an additional 10-15fps over the 8600gts.



But, the 8600gts will work better for the games that are nearly to to be released. Especially with the Direct X 10 support which the 7950 does not hold.



My choice would be the 8600 hands down. The lighting effects that DX10 allows is ample to make me start drooling.

The radeon 9600 pro is a better card...I should I know own the geforce fx5200! The g force is a decent card....for games pay for in 2001 explicitly.....I bough it back contained by 2003 and am able to run unmarked games with the settings extremely low, which completely looks sickening.

Media Center 2005 is assured on the card, any card that has a BDA driver will work, I would suggestion you go for a Hauppauge single or dual tuner, but so far adjectives cards I tried with DBA drivers works fine beside MCE2005.

It depends. If you are looking for DirectX 10 support on the cheap, the 8600GTS is the opening to go. However, it midrange card while the 7950GT is a high-end card. Currently at hand are no games that use DirectX 10 and you will need Vista because DX10 won't be available for Windows XP.

I would run for the 8600GTS due to it's Direct x10 capabilties it will perform up to your expectations plus if you are using XP you won't have need of a new card when you upgrade to Vista.

It is newer and it also supports Direct X 10, which most of the newer games comming out will use.

1st choice is the 1st Fortron because of the better set off of the output amps on the different rails.

2nd Fortron is wonderful for newer PCs that require most of the wattage on the +12V rails.

The Thermaltake component has a single +12V guiderail and most of its wattage is on the lower voltage rails. It is great for old PCs w/ minimal lateral devices.



Fortron and Thermaltake are both good brands.



Retail power supplies are 150mm wide open (5.9 in.). Measure the size of your existing power supply. Same width funds mounting holes will align.
though the second one has a slightly greater rating from newegg customers, iv never heard the brand of the first 2. the Thermaltake one i would vote is betst. i reconize Thermaltake

I presume that RS routine Rupees. If you say for which country to be exact, then most relatives can convert that amount to their own and tell you how the prices for their respective countries are. As for a apposite graphics card, I have an dated Nvidia card, and it supports Directx 10 very ably. Unless i am mistaken about what directx 10 manner here.

The newly released nvidia 8600 series clear cards should do the trick. They are middle of the road in cost and concert. Not as great or as expensive as the nvida geforce 8800 but better and more expensive than the geforce 8500 video cards. You can find these cards at a reasonable price here:

There really are a broad range of 8600 and 8800 cards to choose from very soon. I would stear away from the Ultras though they are a Waste of Money! in a year or so they will be selling for a couple hundred bucks!
