PCI express x16 is 4 times as brisk as AGP. No new computers use AGP video slots; it is bygone.

Newegg.com lists 391 PCI express x16 video cards and 129 AGP video cards.

* Note - Since PCI Express is a serial base technology, data can be sent over the bus contained by two directions at once. Normal PCI is Parallel, and as such all background goes surrounded by one direction around the loop. Each 1x lane in PCI Express can transmit contained by both directions at once. In the table the first number is the bandwidth in one direction and the second number is the combined bandwidth contained by both directions. Also please note that contained by PCI Express bandwidth is not shared the same process as in PCI, so here is less congestion on the bus.

It can transport quite deeply more bandwidth.. than AGP.. the more bandwidth it can pass through (data) the better reading you get

PCI Express. AGP is being phased out.
PCI-E is 16X versus Agp 8x I would lift pci-e over agp any day
PCIe or PCI Express is the up-to-the-minute bus out. It's faster then the AGP Bus.



Note* Do not verbs PCIe/PCI EXpress with PCIx which is a totally different bus.
