Really no such item as cheap Core 2 and quality 3d, much smaller number used (after all, it's still new).

If you're a 3d gamer, win a far cheaper cpu and spend the money on the video card. Something like a AMD x2 3800+ or better, and a Radeon X1950GT or better (8800GTS is the nice one to shoot for).

The cpu, isn't going to bring in much difference in gaming, a few frames, the video card, how ever will put together a big difference.

I bought one just lately, but as the previous person pointed out, they are not cheap.



Motherboard + Dual Core combo is roughly $150

Decent video card is around $150

2 gigs of memory is more or less $160

Decent 22 inch monitor - $300

Everything else (HDD, CD/DVD, coolers, case, power, grand piano + mouse, speakers etc.) - roughly $350-500 so you're talking roughly speaking around $1,200 for an okay gaming PC
